Welcome to our new digs at OutOfTheCoffin.com.
* About Us, your hosts Dan Shaurette and Michelle Celley. We are a couple (of freaks) from Scottsdale, AZ.
- Coming to you from a bat cave in Scottsdale, AZ! (Sorry, Dani, I couldn't resist!)
* Dan is a vampophile and writer. Software professionally and as a hobby. I'm also a freelance writer, poet, and storyteller.
- My novella, LILITH'S LOVE, celebrates its 15th anniversary this year. There will be a new paperback release, podiobook, and new ebook versions (Kindle and Mobipocket) this year.
* Michelle is an event planner and admin assistant by day, and by night she's a sexy vampiress!
* Our projects:
- Third annual La Bal Masqué Nocturne to be held this October in Phoenix, AZ.
- This is a charity masquerade ball with a vampire theme which benefits the American Cancer Society. Who hope to donate to the Joe Murphy Memorial Fund this year, also!
- To held raise funds, we will also be selling a compilation album entitled, FOR THE BLOOD IS THE LIFE.
- And finally, also selling THE VAMPYRE COOKBOOK, which will have all kinds of recipes with a vampire theme, like Black Pudding, etc.
Enough about us, here's our topics for this episode:
* I Am Legend - is it a vampire movie or just post-apocalypse?
- The original book by Richard Matheson is definitely about vamps, even if they were caused by a rogue bacteria.
- The new movie starring Will Smith features creatures infected with a mutant retrovirus that essentially creates a super-rabies.
* Stephenie Meyer's TWILIGHT movie in pre-production.
- Kristen Stewart as Bella (Zathura and Panic Room)
- Robert Pattinson as Edward (was Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter movies)
* Rumors of a new Dark Shadows feature film
* RHPS in Chandler - Come As You Are Entertainment!
* Scott Sigler's NOCTURNAL podcast novel.
* Michelle's review of Christine Feehan's DARK HUNGER, manga version of her story.
* Blood Ties cancelled?
* Moonlight on CBS renewed - returns this Friday and next with the last 2 episodes of the season.
- It won New Favorite TV Drama at the 2008 People's Choice Awards.
* Our intro music is "Stigmata" by George Hrab from his album Minutiae. Check out his podcast, his albums, and his new book, George Hrab's Non-Coloring Book, now on sale at Lulu.com!
* We wrapped the show by playing the first track from our album which goes on sale soon, FOR THE BLOOD IS THE LIFE.
- The song is "The Sin Eater" by Sibelian. Thanks again, Magnatune Records!
That wraps up this episode of the Out Of The Coffin podcast. Thanks for listening!
